eric ranzoni
interviews himself about music in general

Q: Eric, why on earth do you believe you deserve a small place in the big music business or, to quote Dr.John, into the “music racket”?

A: I love to see mine as a sort of joyful ‘mission’, to keep alive a certain kind of musicianship which nowadays is sadly fading against a growing absence of taste, sincerity, substance, and probably, talent.

Q: When did you catch the Music Bug?

A: It all started when, in my early teens, I once dreamt I was sharing the stage with the Beatles, as a ‘fifth’ Beatle! So They are still at the top of my list, also for their following careers apart. But my passion for the ‘pianist-singer thing’ came after Elton John, who I saw performing live 7 times to date, he is simply a giant. Then I fell in love with Eric Clapton’s music, and thanks to him I started noticing a recurring, captivating sound, it was the Blues.
